Omladinska razmena "EcoYouth" 3 - 12. maj 2022.

The youth exchange „EcoYouth“ was organized from May 3 to 12, in the Mountain Lodge Stražilovo on Fruška Gora and in Šabac, and which gathered young people from Slovakia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania and Serbia.
This project was created as an initiative of young people from Serbia, who noticed that less and less attention is paid to waste management in their community, so they wanted to learn more about the topic and talk about it with young people from other countries to compare realities , to demonstrate good and bad practices in their communities and work together to accept or reject them. During the youth exchange, with the help of facilitators, using non-formal education methods and through creative workshops (video, photo, redesign clothing and urban gardening), they showed how to treat nature and how something old can have new purpose (like clothes). They learned a lot about themselves, about other cultures, how they react and behave in unexpected situations and how it looks like to live with young people who come from different backgrounds, cultures and needs, as well as about the Erasmus + program itself.
The participants showed the results of the exchange and creative workshops on Open Space event, to the Sabac audience in the form of presenting the video from the Video Workshop ; an exhibition of photographs from the Photo Workshop, a fashion show of clothes made by the participants of the Redesign of Clothes workshop, photographs and Kokedams made by the participants of the Urban Gardening during the workshop. Some participants expressed a desire to design a theatre play on the topic of the project that they presented to the audience.
Wide smiles and satisfaction could be seen on the faces of the audience, which we could confirm by talking to them later.
The project is co-financed by the European Commission through the Eramus + program.
